| With a number of Port-a-Cut units now in the field (and in turn reaction from those users) we have some advice on getting the most from the equipment (we will update this page as more feedback comes in) - *Spend a few extra minutes learning the motor control, particularly the speed limiter - you will thank us for this later...Also, be sure to release the trigger completely before changing direction - the control handle will move smoothly that way... *Remember to set the line up with the flag on the bottom stretch and use the knots at either the flag or the connecting point to take up slack as needed... *After extended use or if the unit begins to vibrate, check and tighten (as needed) the 'chuck'.. *Occasionally check the 'U' bracket nuts and make sure they stay tight as well... *Please remember this is an electrical motor that will get warm with extended use. It is important to allow at least a short time between works for cooling. We re-emphasize this suggestion, particularly if you live in the southern climbs. That would be all for now...we welcome your comments via e-mail or phone. We also encourage you to call with any concerns or difficulty setting up your Port-a-Cut and will be happy to walk you through the process. |
